In the APP project I recently working on we used allready the Hybrid approach. Since this saves us loats of time, we decided to extant this approch and use it for further testcases.
When we made the set-up we realized that we could also use the API preparation for manual testing and other teams.
The idea came up to put the API Test in an extra project and to provide this with an API. This way several projects can use the same API.
Additional it is possible to make a more easy set-up, since the UI tests only need to edit a couple of fields.
